Zimbabwe Market Watch | June 3rd 2015: Zimbabwe stock equity market bled more blood, lost US$18 million.

Harare, Zimbabwe (Capital Markets in Africa):-The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index end in red in second consecutive trading day, the index lost 0.56 points (0.37 percent) to settle at 152.36 points. Likewise, the market capitalization fell from US$ 3.981 billion to settle at US$3.963 billion (reducing by US$18 million).

The market activity today recorded a turnover of US$1.410 million exchanging in 19 securities via 34 trade transactions. Foreign investor buys US$1.036 million and foreign sells US$1.777 million today. Out of the 19 traded securities, Delta Corporation Limited Zimbabwe recorded to US$1.002 million (accounted for nearly 97 percent to total market turnover) on 995,232 traded securities.

On the market price movers, out of 19 traded securities 4 gainers, 8 loser and 7 remained unchanged, bring the market breath (measured as ratio of gainer to loser) to negative. On the one hand, INNSCOR Africa Zimbabwe and SEED Company Zimbabwe climbed by 2.40 percent or 1.49 cents to close at 63.50 cents and 0.55 percent or 0.50 cents to close at 9.50 cents respectively. Likewise, British-American Tobacco Zimbabwe and Pretoria Portland Cement Limited added 0.08 percent or a cents and 0.08 percent or 0.09 cents with the closing price of 1,140 cents and 123 cents.

On the other hand, CBZ Holdings Limited plummeted by 30.00 percent (or 3.00 cents) to conclude at 7 cents and Pelhams Limited Zimbabwe fell by 25.00 percent with a closing price of 0.03 cents. Still on losers’ table, ZIMRE Property Limited and NICOZ Diamond Insurance Limited fell by 20.00 percent to close at 0.080 cents and 15.38 percent to settle at 1.10 cents on 1.107 million traded shares. Also, STAR Africa fell by 14.28 percent or 0.20 cents to close at 1.29 cents on 1.099 million traded shares.

On a final note, the mining index was flat at 44.84 points. BINDURA, FALGOLD, HWANGE and RIOZIM maintained previous price levels at 4 cents, 1 cent 3.40 cents and 10 cents respectively.
