Egypt (Capital Markets in Africa):- Egyptian equity markets Benchmark Index EGX 30, EGX70, EGX100 and the EGX20 capped index were down today. The total market capitalisation settled at US$63,543 billion.
From a market activity perspective, the volumes traded settled at 132,306,813 with a value recorded at US$ 306,975,560. In terms of stock movements 34 securities were held in the green zone, 105 recorded a downward movement to the red zone and 31 remained unchanged.
In terms of market price gainers and losers, on the gainers side were Saudi Egyptian Investment and Finance up 9.9 percent to close the trading session at EGP64.98 per share, Nile Pharma up 5.15 percent to close at EGP 10 per share. Marseilia Group up 4.98 percent to close the trading session at EGP 2.11 per share, ElBarbary investment Group to close at EGP 1.1 growing by 4.76 percent and AlMoasher rising 3.57 percent to close the trading session at EGP0.58 per share.
