Zimbabwe Equity Watch | 30 June 2015: Zimbabwe equities give back yesterday’s gains, market cap US$12 million down and indices lower….

Harare, Zimbabwe (Capital Markets in Africa):- The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) industrial index and market capitalization gave back yesterday’s gains at end of today’s session. The industrial index shrank by 0.30 percent or 0.44 points to end at 148.40 points. Also, the mining index retreated by 0.39 points or 0.87 percent to settle at 44.30 points.

The market capitalization end at US$ 3.865 billion, by losing US$12 million (against 3.877 billion market cap recorded at yesterday’s trading session).

The market activity was thin today with a turnover of US$63,657 (relative to US468,979 recorded at previous trading session) exchanged in 16 traded securities via 22 trade transactions. Foreign investor bought US$13,456 and no foreign sells at end of today’s trading sessions. Out of the 16 traded securities, African Distillers Limited Zimbabwe had 83,903 traded securities at US$14,148 and PADENGA Holding Limited recorded at US$12,897 turnover exchanged in 121,558 traded stocks. Similarly, Turnall Holdings Limited had 240,958 traded volumes at US$3,373 turnover and NICOZDIAMOND Insurance Limited recorded 205,750 traded volumes at US$2,778.

On the market price advancers and decliners, seven securities ended in the green region and three ended in the red region. On the green region were NICOZDIAMOND Insurance Limited surged by 0.22 cents or 22.72 percent  to trade at 1.35 cents and TURNALL HOLDINGS Limited plunged by 0.20 cents or 16.66 percent to close at 1.40 cents.

Also, BINDURA NICKLE Corporation Limited (gained 0.50 cents to close at 3.70 cents on 26,750 traded stocks), FIDELITY LIFE ASSURANCE Limited (rose by 12.50 percent or 1.00 cent to settle at 9.00 cents on 20,000 securities) and RIOZIM Limited (climbed by 12.00 percent or 1.50 cents to trade at 14.00 cents on 13,826 volumes).

POWERSPEED ELECTRICAL Limited surged by 9.09 percent or 0.20 cents to close at 2.40 cents and PADENGA Holdings Limited increased by 1.04 percent or 0.10 cents to settle at 10.61 cents. While on the red district were COLCOM HOLDINGS Limited plunged by 8.33 percent or 2.00 cents with a closing price of 22.00 cents, INNSCOR AFRICA Limited plummeted by 3.22 percent or 2.00 cents to end at 60.00 cents and SEED CO Limited plunged by 0.52 percent or 0.50 cents to conclude at 95.00 cents.
